Are you lifting the right weight?

One thing you must have in mind when you exercise is a specific goal. Whether your goal is to grow muscles or just staying fit, you have to follow your goal. Honestly, when you don’t follow your goal, you find that there is no results. And even though your body changes, you still see no difference whatsoever. This happens because you haven’t set your goal.

The mind works in a certain way and in order for you to see a difference you have to work your way towards that specific goal. As soon as you set your goal, you will notice how your body progresses throughout the entire journey. So, with that being said, the only way to accomplish your goal is by setting it first.

Before you even think of joining the gym, ask yourself a couple of questions. This might help you to get on the right track to achieve your goal.

1-What do I want to accomplish?
2-How am I going to accomplish it?
3-How long will it take me to accomplish it?

These are key questions you need to answer first, before jumping on board. Working out is more than just that, it’s a life style and you have to adjust and make changes.

Now, that you have joined a gym and you are working your ass off, you’re going to notice that your body is changing, but you still not sure what you want.

Many newbies go through this phase most of the time. I went through myself, and I was lost. I had no direction. I got to a point I just exercise, but didn’t have a certain type of goal, in term what to accomplish. I felt like I was gaining muscles, but I didn’t know exactly what I was looking for.

You need to have a goal, an objective, something to work for, to strive for.

Now, there are two type of bodies in fitness. Those who are bodybuilders and those leaned and ripped who just want to look fit. Once you have an idea of how you want your body to look, then you would know exactly what you have to do.

You are in one of the two categories. For those looking to get ripped, lightweight lifting would do a nice job. Nothing heavy to grow and develop your muscles, just the right weight to keep your muscles tight and in good shape.

On the other hand, bodybuilders need to lift more and more weight every time, because that’s exactly what they want. They want to grow big muscles, and to do that they push themselves putting more weight on the bar. This would help them to gain big muscles.

Like I said, being fit and working out is a life style, is about creating yourself and molding your body the way you want it to look. Lifting the right weight will define your body the way you want it and it will help you achieve your goal.
